Kitimat’s curlers didn’t disappoint, winning Consolation Gold for their teams at the BC Winter Games in Fort St. John.
Hirsch Creek Club’s Team Oliveira, consisting of skip Camryn Oliveira, third Ally Feduniak, second Grace Feduniak, lead Kayla Abram and fifth Shylean Bogart, played Team 4KGirl$ in the first draw, the final score 9-5 to Team 4KGirl$.
The second draw saw the team beat Team Cooper-Smith 8-7, but fall to a determined Team Trip in the third draw by 9-1.
In the fifth draw on Saturday, Team Oliveira found their rhythm and beat Team Smith 10-3.
Despite the big win and a sixth draw 6-5 win over Team Bowles, the team had to settle for Consolation Gold.
